Thennat Malbec
It is the Argentine emblematic red vine and it was introduced in this land in the XIX century by Miguel Aime Pouget. First cuttings came from Bordeaux, France.
Cultivation zone: Zona Alta del Río Mendoza, Mendoza, Argentina.
Vineyard training: Low trellis system.
Pruning system: Classical Guyot.
Distance between plants: 2 metres between each row and 1.20 metres between each plant.
Yield: 5,000 kgs per hectare.
Age of vineyard: 50 years.
Harvest: Hand-picked in baskets of 16 kgs each.
Tasting notes: Soft plum and cherry fruit with slight hints of vanilla. Round and full bodied. Sweet tannins on the palate. Smooth and elegant with long and pleasant finish.
Serving: This wine is ideal with red meats, lightly spicy dishes and cheese. Recommended serving temperature: 16°C to 18°C.
