Argentina, in the distant South, is a country with a high diversity of climate, grounds and geographic conditions, in surroundings of noncontaminated environments.

The provinces of Mendoza and San Juan, in the mountainous region of the Andes, are one of the world most privileged zones for international quality wine production.

The tempered climate and the dry and argillaceous alluvional soils combine ideally with little rain and scarce humidity. The vineyards are located over 750m above sea level. The thermal amplitude during the harvest season surpasses 20ºC. This climate and soils offer natural ideal conditions for top quality winemaking. The region ecosystem allows vine breeding requiring almost no chemical treatment at all. The conditions of weather and soils prevent by themselves the formation of fungi and other diseases in the grapevines which are very common in other countries.

Irrigation in the vine areas is accomplished by means of rivers carrying thawing waters from the high Andean peaks. These water sources are located even above the mineral water ones, usually bottled for human consumption.
